If they know (which I'm sure they do) that secrecy leads to speculation, then it's a question whether the desire for the secrecy outweighs the hurt of the resulting speculation. I'm not being harsh, and what you say is true. This is their choice. I'm just saying that in my opinion it's sad because the rumors don't have to hurt.

AND, btw, it's a shame that it's a choice they have to make. Though I guess that's what comes when people choose to live a public life.
